Luxembourg, Luxembourg, June 8th 2024
Today is my husband, Mark’s birthday, but I’m allowed to see The Streets today. Thanks hun!
My daughter Roos (pronounce: Rose) has her horse riding lesson today. I will watch her first, then Mark drops me off at the train station in Hillegom. And that on his birthday. Bless him. Roos will help younger kids with horse riding by walking next to the horse and coach them and she will help the teacher with scooping poop.
There are no sprinter trains between Haarlem and Leiden. There are busses. When I arrive at the train station my bus to Leiden just left. I’ve to wait half an hour. There are many delays. 50 minutes later then expected I arrive in Rotterdam. I’m at Starbucks before Ozzy gets there, so I get us something. As soon as I get outside, Ozzy has arrived as well, to pick me up.
Finally we’re on our way to Luxembourg. We get a few traffic jams unfortunately, but not too bad. It’s a 4 hours drive or so. We will stop along the way for Burger King. Well, that’s our plan. The road to Burger King is closed, so that’s not happening.
Just before 6 we arrive in Luxembourg city and we park the car. We walk towards the venue. We see the tour bus. But we walk further, we need food. We found a kabab shop, where we order some chips. We’re not very hungry.
Then it’s time to queue up. There is one couple in the queue already. We join them. Soon other people follow us. We met some lovely people. We saw Max, he said hello.
At 7 sharp, the doors open. We’re on the list. Thanks so much Tim.
The support act is some dj. He is alright. Very relaxing music. Not bad. We’re waiting for Martine and Frederic. Martine joined us. Frederic was outside with their friend. They joined us later.
Oliver, and Baz said hello. Wayne, and Cassell waved at us.
When Mike came on he saw us and waved. So did Kevin and Keith.
Mike asked if we were in Hamburg yesterday. Euh no, he didn’t see us in the crowd did he? LOL. We’re always up front, he would have noticed us.
Great gig. It was amazing. Wow. Mike is crazy, but impressive what he did. (watch the video).

Before we left the venue, Frederic’s friend kept asking if we were going backstage after the gig. “We don’t know, depends on their mood”. I told him. “But he’s your best friend” he said. “No Ozzy is my best friend”. Then he asked Ozzy, if he was going backstage after the gig. Now he thinks Ozzy is Mike’s best friend… “WE DONT KNOW! DEPENDS ON THEIR MOOD!” We walked outside, he followed us. “If you go and meet him, can I join?” He asked again. “WE DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENS”. “Where are you going he asked”. “We’re going to get Ozzy’s coat”. He went to the toilet. We didn’t see them anymore. I was sad that I didn’t get to say bye to Martine, but this guy was a bit pushy. He was lovely during the gig tho.. because he tried to save me from people sqeezing me and juming against me, against the barrier. Although I think I would have been better off without his help, but it’s lovely that he tried LOL. Martine and Frederic, we’ll see you in Dam.
After the gig we waited outside for a bit. We got a bratwurst. Then we went back inside to see the merchandise. Wayne called my name. So we said hello.. We had a little chat. He was meeting up with some friends, old band members of another band they played in. Kevin came over as well. We had a little chat. but a guy asked him if he had lived in new Zealand. so we let them talk. Kevin came back to us after he got his stuff. Max and Oliver walked by, they were going to a bar around the corner. Wayne told us to join them. He would join us later. We met the new keyboard player Gabriel. Max, Baz, Olly, they were all there., also a few others.
We had a drink before we went home. When Ozzy ordered our drinks at the bar, someone thought that he was Shep. “No I’m not”, Ozzy said. “yes you are”, this person said again. “no I’m not, I’m Ozzy“. “I’m here with Tess“. Ozzy said. “Oh from Tess’ diary”. This person said. “Yep that’s her” hahaha so funny. He didn’t believe Ozzy..
It’s another 4 hours drive to my house. We said goodbye to everyone. Thanks for letting us join. See you all in Amsterdam. 23 days to go.
Ozzy dropped me off just after 4 am. I’ve been sleeping in the car. I put the video on youtube. then its time to sleep further in a bed (instead of the car). Ozzy is still driving home. 1 hour to go for him.
