Dour, Belgium, July 19th 2025

On June 20th this got confirmed by Jo. Thank you so much!!! Roos was supposed to come with us, but I noticed, that she didn’t really want to go. She wasn’t very enthusiastic, so it’s just me and Ozzy again. I need to do something about my education. She prefers Eminem. 😱
I do love Eminem as well tho…..
yesterday I got my early birthday present from Ozzy. (It’s not until the 24th). I got a pair of The streets socks.

Anyway…. We go to Roos’ horse riding lesson first.
After that we have some lunch, and off we go to Dour. It’s in Belgium, but near the border of France, It’s quite a journey. It’s 4 hours by car (not as far as Hamburg tho).

After a few stops we arrive at 4:30, only parking Sud (south) is very busy. It took us an hour to get to park the car. This parking was 15 euro’s. We regret not paying 45 euro’s for parking North. That’s next to the entrance.
We have to walk to the entrance. I asked Baz and Cassell for help. Cassell had promised Ollie (The Streets archive on Instagram) his drumsticks. But Ollie has a wheelchair and struggles getting to the front or go to any gigs at all. So I helped him. Baz replied, that he would organise it.

We walked to the entrance, but they sent us to the vip entrance, we needed to go somewhere else. But when we got there, they sent us back to the regular entrance.. Anyway….. We walked back to the regular entrance. We had to ask for Martine,. The man at the regular, entrance sent us to the guest experience, Martine should be there. We were in that queue earlier, but Ozzy thought that they only sold tours. Oh well….. I was right the first time. We got our ticket for today. Thanks again Jo!! And then we walked to the regular entrance again, for our wristband. It has a QR code with that, you can put money on and pay your food and drinks.
Just after 6 we finally got inside. We put some money on the wristband and got 2 crepes, but the lady charged us for 3. We went back to her and just got the 3rd crepe.
Then it was time to get to the stage. I texted Baz that we were there. He came over with the signed drumsticks for Ollie.

At 7 there was a band playing. Not that bad. But they sang French. We couldn’t understand it. And it started raining. A lot. Luckily we brought our poncho.
When the band finished, so did the rain. We moved towards the center. Oliver saw us and waved. After a while we saw Max and Cassell. They both waved. Cassell asked me “in sign language” where the drumsticks were. I showed him.
Mike came on stage, he looked at us,, when he got off the stairs, to dive into the crowd, he looked at us. When he came back on stage, he asked: “How are you doing?” He blew me a kiss.

Always wanted to do that. LOL

Mike said that he controlled the weather. They got a credit card from the festival. He lost it tho. And he really wanted a frites with mayonnaise. If he got a frites with mayo from someone, he’d keep the weather like it is now. He first got a credit card from a cameraman, but a security guard gave him a portion of frites with mayo. The cameraman got his creditcard back. And as Mike promised, the weather stayed good. Wayne waved at us as well. After the gig, a guy in a yellow tshirt got the setlists and threw them all away. Idiot.
Mike got us craving for chips with mayonnaise tho. So we got ourselves a portion as well. We got another drink and at 11 it was time to start our walk back to the car. We got home at 3:30. Good night all!
No more plans this year.
that was another lovely show, very much worth the travel
glad that Mike controlled the weather, it stayed dry the rest of the evening 🙂
