Mike Skinner in Cologne 2012

Cologne, Germany, March 3rd 2012

My mate Ozzy and I went to the opening of the first official Apple Store in Amsterdam. In Holland we had a few Mac Houses and iCentres, but no Apple Store yet. Now we do, anyways we joined a queue of about 4000 people at 9:50am. The doors opened at 10 and after waiting for 1 ½ hour (11:30am) we got in, we got a lovely orange t-shirt, nice for queensday people said, but it’s my 4th orange t-shirt, so I have enough – nice t-shirt to sleep in! I bought a docking station for my iPhone.

I woke up at about 7am, got the bus to the airport at 7.50. Arrived at the airport at 8.20. Got a Starbucks at the airport and at 8.45 my train left to RotterdamOzzy would pick me up there. We are going to Paris.

It was a last minute add to their tour. They were replacing Q-tip. I found out last week on Sunday that they would be playing there. On Monday Ted arranged it for us. Thanks Ted! Again! We’ve been to this festival in 2008 as well.

The Streets Glasgow 2011

Glasgow, Scotland, February 19th 2011

I woke up at Callum‘s place at 6am, thought my head was going to explode.  I still had a headache. Still a migraine. 2 hours later when Laurence and Ozzy were awake, I finally felt better, probably because I had a shower and I knew I was going to get some food.

We said goodbye to Callum‘s girlfriend Chelsea, poor girl had to work, and we got dressed and ready to leave to the Haymarket train station, Callum was still asleep. We left him a note.
