The Streets agdcff in Oberhausen 2026

Oberhausen, Germany, June 9th 2026

After Dublin, we got really excited. We decided to go to Oberhausen as well. Luckily Jo can help us. Thanks so much Jo!!

I never work on Tuesdays (and Wednesdays). I don’t have to ask time off. I’m defo going. Ozzy took This afternoon (and tomorrow morning) off as well. We’re going together. Luckily I don’t have to go alone, I would have, but I don’t have to now.

Leon will be there as well. We’ve seen him in Bielefeld a couple years ago and last year in Cologne.

At 10:30 I took the bus, The public transport planner said that I had to take the bus at 11, but then I only have 5 minutes to transfer to the next bus & train. So I give myself some more time. I arrive in Utrecht Papendorp at 1pm. Ozzy will pick me up here. Feels like a world trip already.

Oh well… the weather is ok. I’ve to wait for Ozzy to finish work. He will pick me up here. We’ll continue the journey by car.

While I wait for Ozzy, I got a text from Strange days indeed. He asked, if I was going to Oberhausen. I’m already on my way. He wants to go as well.

Ozzy picked me up just after 1. We’re able to drop Strange days indeed off tonight on our way back. So he doesn’t have to miss the encore. We drive past his hometown. Will see you tonight!!

At 3 pm we arrive in Oberhausen. There is absolutely nothing to do here. We park the car and walk around the venue. We see a McDonald’s, a sushi restaurant, Döner and a subway. Guess we’ll have Maccy D later. I prefer Sushi, but don’t want to sit for 2 hours. We have priorities. We want to be up front as usual.

We walk towards Adventure World (not the 2nd park in Disneyland Paris tho). It’s closed, we walk back to McDonald’s. We see Gabriel. We wave at each other. We have some food. It’s still early. But what else can we do? It is really boring here.

We walk back to the venue and we wait… And wait… The support act Bulgarian Cartrader walks by. He recognised us from last years German gigs. We wait some more…

We move to the actual entrance. There is another German guy coming over. He had been waiting at the wrong entrance. He’s a lovely guy. He was on his own. Strange days indeed arrives. He has some drinks for us. Thank you so much!! He’s going to McDonalds to get himself some food.

Ollie walks by. He spread his arms and asked who’s first. Ozzy walks over to give him a hug, but I sprint in front of Ozzy to give the hug first.

The doors were supposed to open at 6:30, but they didn’t. We still hear the sound check from the Bulgarian Cartrader. The door opened at 7 istead. We walked to the merch stand. Ozzy and I both got the limited edition agdcff box. And the golden lighter.

Then it’s time to secure our spot up front. Leon and his girlfriend Anna arrived as well. At 8 the Bulgarian Cartrader started. He didn’t play our favorite song “Brizzle” unfortunately. And when he started dancing. I couldn’t stop laughing. I nearly cried. The security guard started laughing as well when he looked at me. Strange days indeed is right, he acts a bit like a clown. We can’t take him to serious. People behind us started laughing as well when they looked at me LOL.

Luckily it’s only 30 minutes. He’s a lovely guy. But I don’t really like his music. At 9 the Streets start. The busstop is back!! It still amazes me. Wow. Goosebumps all over again.

Great gig again. The first half, the album, was like a musical. During fit, Mike put up his thump. Amazing. Kevin did amazing. It’s way out of his comfort zone. but he did amazing especially “What is he thinking”. I love Roo and Mike on “Get out of my house”. And Fit was a bit different from the Dublin gig as well.

The encore is a total different show. It’s like a new gig,. So it’s like it are 2 gigs in one. It’s truly amazing!!

Ollie got me the setlist. Thanks so much!!

We wait for Leon and Anna. Then we go outside.

We walk towards the tourbus. We see Kevin. He tells us that they are filming something. So it might take a while before they come down. We drop our merch in the car. Also Strange days indeed’s bag. He will be driving with us later.

When we walk back we see the making of whatever they are filming. It’s getting more quiet, people are leaving. Then we get something to drink and eat from McDonald’s. And we walk back again to wait for the boys.

Cassell looks out the window. He says hello He didn’t know we were there. but that’s because Wayne stood in front of him. He will come down for a chat. Wayne looks out the window as well and waves. He comes down as well. We say hello to Baz, he walks by and goes inside, but he gives me a hug first. Cassell and Wayne come outside. We have a few hugs and a little chat. Kevin comes outside. I get another hug. We have a little chat. I tell him how amazing he was. Then Mike comes over as well. He got a t-shirt from a German fan. Mike asks me how it looks on him. It has orange accents, he could wear it in Groningen next week. That’s the same day as the World Cup football game of Holland. Tim walks by and says hello. Gabriel walks by as well. Good to see and speak to everyone again. I missed them.

Time to leave now. We drop Strange Days Indeed off, along the way. Then it’s 1,5 hour to go for me. I’m home at 2:30. Ozzy still has to drive home. He’s at home at 3:30ish.
