The Streets agdcff in Bristol 2026

Bristol, England, June 27th 2026

It was supposed to be so easy. Just take the flight to Bristol. Until our turn comes, flight is cancelled.

Jo confirmed on October 14th last year. Thank you so much for your help again!!! Ozzy and I booked the hotel as well. The Ibis hotel is next to the venue. We have been here before back in 2011 for We, the people. We stayed at the same hotel.

Ollie is also going, so is Adam.

Roos’ horse riding lesson usually starts at 1pm, but because of the heat they moved it to 9am. I can go now. Not the whole lesson, but until 9:30. I can help her to saddle up, if needed. Ozzy came over last night, he will stay in this time and pick me up here at 9:30…. so I thought….

Shit!! I got a text at 8am, Our flight is cancelled. Damn. I ran upstairs to wake up Ozzy. We try to get a new flight. There is one, tonight at 8, that’s too late. And one on Monday. I should be back home by then already. Both are not an option. Ozzy gets dressed. I say goodbye to Mark and Roos. Mark is going to help Roos now for horse riding They will get help from friends as well. And we get in the car to Getsewoud.

In Getsewoud we take the bus to the airport. There is no easyJet desk here at Schiphol. We have to try to get a new flight on the app, or call them. The costumer service is closed in the weekends. We can’t call them.

Luckily there are desks with new tickets offers. We decide to book a new flight. We went to cheaptickets. It takes a while for the lady to find something useful for us. But there is one to Bristol at 5pm with KLM. I start crying. I’m so relieved. The lady who helped us, knows the Streets as well. She was amazing. She helped us with a link to ask for a refund from EasyJet as well. Hopefully EasyJet gives a refund. cos this flight is a lot more expensive then the original EasyJet one. But EasyJet doesn’t have a suitable option.

It’s 10am. We have to kill 7 hours of time until our new flight. There is no point of going home again, won’t be able to chill at home anyway. But we can place a refund for the new flight, and everything we eat and drink over here. And once in Bristol we have to run I think. As Matthew said…. It’s like a Beat Stevie episode…. Oh dear….

We have some food at the Grand Café, the bill is for Easy Jet. Then we go through the security. Security goes smoothly thankfully. 

We have 5 hours until the gate opens. We get a Starbucks, also this bill is for Easy Jet. Ozzy needs coffee to stay awake, to be honest…. Me too. We can also charge our phones.

When our phones are charged, we walk around. So we won’t fall asleep. We walk to Murphy’s, an Irish pub on the airport. We have a few drinks, and some food. This bill is also for Easy Jet. We are very tired tho. We are struggling to stay awake.

We get to the gate. We see that the flight is delayed for 30 minutes. Damn!!!!! Why? We don’t have much spare time. Hopefully we have tail wind.

We land 45 minutes late, but we get through the security very quickly, then we get a cab. Also the bill from the cab is for Easy Jet. The driver knows we’re in a hurry. He drives like a maniac. But thank you so much!! You are our hero. We check in our hotel and walk to the entrance.

We got hospitality. Thank you so much Jo!! Because of this we have our own entrance, we don’t have to wait in the queue. In less than an hour time, we get from landing at the airport to the front of the stage. Now I can finally smile. That’s impressive.

Thank you Adam for keeping the spot safe, you’re our hero too. And good to see you again. Good to see you again as well Ollie!! Was lovely to meet you Kevin, Amy and Jules.

I thought I recognised Lexxie & Emma. But I wasn’t sure. Haven’t seen them in years. Last time was in Newquay 2009. but I got a video from Lexxie. That Mike said hello to us. So it was you!!!! Would have loved to say hello again.

The gig was amazing. As always. Thanks so much boys!!

After the gig, we watched the football. England was playing.

They won with 2-0 woohoo!!!

I thought I saw Rosie, Mike’s cousin. I was not 100% sure tho, but I saw a post from her on Instagram. It was her!! If I only knew I would have said hello.

After the game, we went to a pub, next to the hotel. But I’d rather to go to bed. I’m so tired. The square in front of the hotel is changed a lot. Back in 2011 it was empty, now there is some sort of fun fair. We didn’t recognise it from 15 years ago.

Sunday 28th of June 2026

We woke up at about 9. We were hungry. We got freshen up, and ready to check out. At 10 we went to Wetherspoons, for breakfast. Ollie and Kevin are coming over later.

Ollie and Kevin will arrive just after 12. If we can order breakfast for them, as breakfast is until noon. Sure. When the waiter places the food down, he warns us for the seagulls. Within a few minutes there is one on the table, stealing a sausage and bacon. I grab the seagull by it’s wing and throw it on the ground. Ozzy saves the sausage and the bacon. Soon after that Ollie and Kevin arrive. The table behind us were impressed. They called me the seagull killer LOL. One of the boys predicts that Morocco wins from Holland on Tuesday. He can win a lot of money, so he’s forgiven, but I won’t be protecting him from the seagulls anymore. (He was right, Morocco won with penalties).

We’re going to find a place to sit in the sun. We got a bit cold. We sit in the park, to heat up. Ollie needs some water. We go to Sainsbury. After that we walk back to Wetherspoons to visit the toilet. Then it’s time for me and Ozzy to get the bus to the airport. We say goodbye to the boys.

On the airport we met a few people who had been to the gig as well. A couple from Edinburgh. They asked me how good the gig was. I wore the agdcff tour tshirt. My bag needed to be checked and theirs as well. We had to wait a while for that. We had time for a chat. Streets heads bond. Love it.

When that is done we find a place to sit. The flight either goes on time, or is 30 minutes delayed or 1 hour. Not sure yet. We see different messages on different devices. We’ll see. Easy jet never let us down before, up until this weekend.

Flight is half an hour delayed. Half an hour later then expected, we get gate 17 announced. We walk over there. Boarding goes smoothly, but we’re waiting on the plane for passengers with assistance. They cause extra delay. Just close the doors!! We’re done waiting. We had an extra half an hour delay because of them. These passengers are lucky that Easy Jet waits for them and obviously, we don’t know why they were so late, but for all the other passengers who were on time, it’s annoying. Luckily we have tail wind and we arrived “only” 40 minutes late.

Not so happy with easy jet this weekend. Can’t wait to be home. At 8:30 we landed on the furthest landing platform possible. 30 minutes before we reached the gate. Luckily the security goes quick again. and we only had hand luggage. But at 9:30 we’re home. Night all.

Next gig in Belgium on August 6th. But first Five in 2 weeks time (totally different, but reliving my youth).

We got most of our costs back. Ozzy is trying to get everything back.

I’ve “accidently” ordered the water bottle and the vest. I really really really wanted the water bottle. OOPS!
